Research Interests

Pathogenesis and management of autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Research includes basic,
translational and clinical research.

1. Systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease (systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid
   syndrome, systemic sclerosis, Sjögren’s syndrome).
2. Vasculitides including ANCA vasculitides and Behcet’s disease.
3. Spondyloarthritis (Psoriatic Spondyloarthritis and Psoriatic arthritis)
4. Autoinflammatory diseases (including Behcet’s disease)
5. Metabolic, cardiovascular, and infectious co-morbidities in autoimmune rheumatic disease.
6. Molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory diseases
7. Translational platforms for the development of novel therapeutics and diagnostic biomarkers
